Artist’s Mission Military:- To paint the strength and nobility of the Armed Forces, reflected in their proud history and traditions, nationally and globally. In order to support a strong defence for the best deterrent.
In 2018 Hugh Beattie became the British Army's official Influence Artist, creating art on any subject in any medium required by the Army. He is also an established portrait painter, landscape artist and illustrator.
Hugh Beattie based near Colchester paints nationally and globally. His painting tours have included Bosnia, Rome, India, Helmand and Estonia. Hugh has produced many works from life. He has won prizes for his military art and in between commissions, he also enjoys working on historic picturesque oils for exhibitions. Hugh has recently completed a commission for Colchester Town Hall to celebrate Colchester's return to City status.
