The Priory Colchester

Colchester's Norman Ruin, St Botolph's, said to be shot at by Cromwell's big guns in the Civil War it is in a dark corner of town, the sun only lights the front façade for an hour a day when the clouds part. Built in 1093 with bits of old Roman town house it was the Order of St Augustine
