W Tite designed the new Royal Exchange in 1844.
Before the great Pandemic of 2020 this narrow pavement was the commuters quick march rough to the Bank Tube station. The old Edwardian canopy at the top hints at the buildings former uses. All the older buildings in the city have changed their role except for the Bank of England and the Churches.
