The Grand House of late Tudor brick, stands oblivious to the turmoil in the town below in it's serine parkland. The House burned down in 1670 and was remodeled on the same foundations.
The house is full of its original furniture and paintings, with the best collection of Gainsborough paintings out side London. It is an absolute hidden gem and is far to little known.
