Oil on Linen, 26″ x 36″ +Frame. Painting of church and office blocks near the Upper Thames Street.
Oil on linen, aprox 2×3 foot, plus frame. The Grace of St Dunstan’s Church against the functional harshness of the High Office blocks in the City of London never fails to enflame the anguish of this artist. The delights of this painting are the little details, such as the reflection of man at work and the dappled weathering of the stonework.
About the Artist
J Hugh L Beattie is a distinguished commission artist based near Colchester, East Anglia. His large studio is a vibrant busy tapestry of British culture, brought to life through the paint brush. Here, classical elegance meets patriotic history. Hugh’s work is a testament to the enduring beauty of traditional composition. His work is a beacon of grace in an age often side-tracked by hum-drum modernism.
