Exhibition Build Up 2015

 

I have now started my 29th painting for the December exhibition. The exhibition is called London Ancient & Modern. It is to be a collection of thirty paintings that view London from entirely new angles. Close-up and compositionally introspective, the works crystallise the vast gulf between the stone heritage of London and the new architecture of glass. 

The beauty of contemporary London has become the contrast of opposing building design. During the day or at night, the mission has been to find details of the urban environment that we are so often oblivious to. With dramatic depth and novel composition, the works turn these one off glimpsed views into highly focused odes of love to London, Ancient & Modern. 

The oil paintings are on linen and are scaled for hanging at home or in the office. The larger works are approximately 3x2 ft and the smaller ones are about a foot square.
